Introduction

At Paladyne, we take the privacy of our users very seriously. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we collect from our users, how we use this information, and the measures we take to protect this information.

Types of Information Collected

The Service collects several types of information from you, including but not limited to:

  1. Personal Information: This is information that can be used to personally identify you, such as your name, email address, and profile image. Personal Information is collected when you create an account and when you create or update your profile.
  2. Business Card Images: If you scan a business card to create a contact, the images of the card are stored privately for your account. Only you can see them, and they are deleted when you delete the contact.
  3. AI Business Card Reading: If you scan a business card with AI reading on, the photo of the card is sent to our server and on to an AI service, which reads the details and returns them to the app. We use Google's Gemini, or Anthropic's Claude if Gemini is unavailable. Neither we nor the AI service save the photo for this purpose. Under their terms for paid business use, the AI services do not use it to train their models. They keep it only to detect misuse: Google for up to 55 days, and Anthropic for up to 30 days, or longer if a request breaks its usage policy. The details are saved only if you save the contact. You can turn AI reading off in the scanner; the card is then read on your phone and nothing is sent.
  4. AI Product Drafts: If you ask for an AI draft of a product page, the product photo and your answers to the AI's questions are sent to our server and on to the same AI services, on the same terms as business card photos. The AI returns a draft title, description, price and link. Neither we nor the AI service save the photo or your answers for this purpose. The draft is saved only if you save the product.
  5. Product Information: This is information related to the products or services that you provide, such as product descriptions, images, and pricing. Product Information is collected when you use the Service to promote your products or services.
  6. Company Information: This is information related to your company, such as the company name, company logo, and other related details. Company Information is collected when you provide this information in connection with your use of the Service, for example when you create a business profile or add a new product.
  7. User Generated Content: This is content that you (the Contributor) upload or post through the Service, such as blog posts, image posts, comments, and ratings. Some User Generated Content is public and can be made visible to other people, both users and non-users of the service, at the discretion of the contributor.
  8. Log Data: This is information that is automatically generated when you access the Service or use the Mobile App, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages viewed.

You acknowledge that you are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information that you provide, and that we are not responsible for any inaccuracies or errors in the information that you provide.

Use of Information

The personal information we collect is used to provide and improve our services, to communicate with you and our other users, and to better understand how our services are being used. We may also use this information for research and analytics purposes.

Protection of Information

We take appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the companies that run parts of the service for us, such as hosting, storage, error reporting, and reading business card photos and drafting product pages (Google and Anthropic). They may use it only to provide that service to us, and not for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users.
