Virtag is a service for creating and sharing information.
After registering, you can create one or more shareable profiles. Each profile can be customized with an image (avatar) and personal information including links to your social networks. You can create a personal profile for social events and a professional one for your company or to promote your own business.
People who click on your profile link or tap tags which you have created will see your profile and can add your contact information to their contacts with one click. They do not need an app or an account but if they register they can also save and share tags.
With the Virtag NFC app you can write your own NFC tags and cards. Attach tags to your personal property to help recover them if lost.
Virtag works on any kind of internet connected device. Tags can be created on a PC or tablet and then written using the app with a mobile phone. All recent iPhones and most Android phones can be used to write tags.
In addition to digital profiles, many other types of tags can be created. We call them virtags, short for virtual tags. Templates are provided for many common use cases, including image posts, products and contacts. Virtags can be shared as links in emails, text messages or social media, by QR code or by writing NFC tags and cards with the Virtag NFC app, available for IOS and Android.
Register with your email address to start. You can delete your account any time. The web app is free for now but you'll need the app to write NFC tags and cards.
